Ayurveda Hospital
Muniyal Ayurveda Hospital is a 175-bed, specialty hospital, consisting of multiple facilities to provide lifestyle management in an ayurvedic way under one roof. It provides comprehensive healthcare under the supervision of more than 44 post-graduate ayurvedic doctors, under one roof.
It is built according to Vaastu, the ancient Indian architecture science, and surrounded by the ancient sacred herbal garden which absorbs cosmic energy thereby helping in the speedy recovery of the diseases. Patients are served with vegetarian diet, exclusively prepared from natural sources, collected from the Hospital’s own organic herbal gardens and dairy farm.

Special TREATMENT FACILITIES in the hospital:
The hospital section is well equipped with special treatment techniques of Ayurveda like Panchakarma. Various procedures like body massage making use of medicated oils, different fomentation techniques, purifactory therapies for patients and also for healthy individuals to maintain and promote positive health are available.
Shastikashali Pinda Sweda (Navarakizhi): A combination of oil massage and fomentation with bolus of special rice boiled in medicated milk. This is useful in conditions like paralysis, neuromuscular diseases such as polio etc.
Kayasekam (Pizhicchil): Pouring of warm medicated oil along with massaging over the whole body. It is highly beneficial in muscular dystrophy & neurological diseases.
Shirodhara : Medicated oil (decoction) & medicated butter milk is poured constantly on the forehead. This is excellent for treating insomnia, hypertension, anxiety disorders, neurological diseases, etc.
Patra Pinda Sweda: Leaves of medicinal herbs are ground and the bolus made is tapped on affected area in joint pains, etc.
Nadi Sweda: Vapours of medicinal decoction are passed on affected area through a nozzle. Useful in conditions like sciatica, etc.
Bashpa Sweda: Whole body fomentation in special chamber – for neuromuscular diseases, etc.
Kati Basti: Keeping warm medicated oil inside an embankment made over the back/waist in lumbago and sciatica.
Nasya: Errhine therapy in epilepsy, insomnia, anxiety disorders, migraine, facial paralysis, etc.
Basti: Enema therapy in diseases of different systems, especially neurological diseases.
Vamana: Emesis therapy – in bronchial asthma, skin diseases, etc.
Virechana: Purgation therapy – in various chronic disorders.
- Yoga and Svasthavrtta Department: This section deals with the application of Yoga and Dhyana in the management of various psychosomatic disorders and to maintain physical, mental and spiritual health. Dietary advice according to one’s constitution for healthy individuals and in various disease conditions.
- Pyramid Therapy: Very useful in absorbing the cosmic energy and setting right the cellular activities and mental tranquility of the patient.

Kutipraveshika Rasayana: For the enhancement of lifespan and quality of life.

Prasuti Grha: Here care of pregnant woman will be taken as per the Ayurvedic principles, the delivery will be carried out and the mother and baby are maintained in a traditionally designed Prasutigrha. Mother and child are given Abhyanga, Dhupana etc. Infant is given with Svarnaprashana (administration of pure medicated gold).

Ayurjyotisha Department: This deparment is a blend of two interdependent sciences Jyotishya Shastra and Ayurveda and is very helpful to mange psychosomatic disorders. Expert Jyotishi knows very well that stars and planets are only the indicators but it is the Karma of the past life which is a deciding factor in the occurrence, prognosis and treatment of the diseases. An expert in the field of Ayurveda and Jyotisha will guide the patients regarding the cause, prognosis and the right choice of treatment.
